The strap guide consists of a roller basket at the outlet of the straightener with integrated strap loop monitoring (strap too tight) via sensing arm.
The ultrasonic loop control is accommodated in a separate housing with floor mounting option. Lateral guide rods guide the strap centrally above the ultrasonic head. An integrated earth contact stops the belt when it touches the base plate.
The loop control automatically regulates the main drive quickly and slowly, thus ensuring that the belt runs smoothly.
The belt guide is located between the straightener and the press. It is designed as a double-sided roller cage and represents a closed unit. The rollers are mounted directly in the roller cages.
A mechanical, infinitely variable height adjustment allows an adjustment range according to the changing press infeed height using different tools. The loop control is integrated via an ultrasonic sensor, which is installed between the two roller baskets at the height of the connecting bars. The belt sag is monitored for both maximum and minimum values. The end of the belt is also monitored.
The belt transfer table is arranged after the straightener. It is designed as a double-sided roller basket and represents a closed unit. The rollers are mounted in a special link chain. When the link chain is swung up, a transfer table is created; when it is swung down, it forms a radius specified for the maximum strip thickness.
Both link chains are automatically raised to the same height when they are swung upwards, allowing the strip to be transferred smoothly from the straightener to the press. A mechanical stepless height adjustment allows an adjustment range according to the changing press infeed height using different tools. Loop control is also integrated via a laser, which is installed between the two roller baskets above the belt run. The belt sag is monitored for both maximum and minimum values. The end of the belt is also monitored.
As standard, a transfer can only take place if the belt is so stiff that it does not sag over a length of 200 mm. Similarly, it is only possible to move the belt from the straightener to the feed via the belt transfer if the belt can be pushed to the appropriate length. The rollers of the link chain are plastic-coated, which prevents damage to the belt. This also makes the belt run more smoothly.
The height is adjusted manually using jacks.
Motorized height adjustment
The height adjustment is motorized. The infeed height can be read off the operating computer.
Belt side guide
In the middle of the belt transfer is a belt side guide, which consists of two vertical side guide rods and can be adjusted centrally via a spindle.
Belt loop monitoring
There is a dancer on the roller basket which monitors the belt loop.
If the belt loop is insufficient or an error occurs, it switches off the downstream machine.
Belt loop monitoring pit
The strap loop is monitored in the pit by a light barrier, which triggers the “Loop full” signal. This causes the straightener to stop and wait until material is removed from the loop again.
